Singing a Different Tune

The folks at Mississippi Studios are our kind of people.

They took an old church, and with determination, hard work, and a few well-placed Rejuvenation fixtures (shown right), turned it into one of Portland, Oregon's most beloved music venues - all while sparking the renaissance of a historic North Portland neighborhood.

So, when they decided to renovate, they faced a dilemma: how to grow while preserving the space's intimate feel, superb acoustics, and authentic look.

One new balcony and twice the number of seats later, Mississippi Studios has created what touring singer-songwriters and locals agree is one of the coolest living room/theater hybrids around. That's music to our ears.
