A Greenhouse Effect We Can Get Behind
In true sustainable style, cycling and recycling come together under one roof.
Adam Rust, an avid cyclist, lives in a new home built partially from the greenest of construction materials: salvage. In fact, both the staircase and floor are made from reclaimed old-growth fir. The house includes a covered bike port, a vegetable garden, rain barrels, and even a chicken coop.
He Does His Homework
Adam's commitment to responsible living extends into his job. His company, Bridge City Group, builds new construction, and it often uses reclaimed and eco-friendly materials in their projects.
We're pleased to be working with Adam on several projects using our GU24 energy-efficient fixtures, including the Lombard, Alsea, Mt. Tabor, Duniway, John Day, Umpqua, and the Carlton - all versatile classics with simple lines that adapt easily to many settings.
Adam is blogging about the highs and lows of building new. See what he's up to at our new Rejuvenation Projects Blog.
