Julie & John CaseyRejuvenation Customer
Gouges in the woodwork from motorcycle kickstands were one sign that time had not been kind to John and Julie Casey's 1911 Arts & Crafts home. Sickly green paint was another — John spent four years and countless brain cells stripping it himself, before turning over the staining and varnishing to a professional (which, Julie reports, had miraculous effects on their marriage).
"We have never considered ourselves as preservationists," Julie says, "yet when entrusted with such a treasure, we felt a duty to act as responsible stewards." This is John and Julie's restored dining room.
