The day Mike and Carol Dillon set out to look for their waterfront dream cabin in Washington's San Juan Islands, Mike told their teenage son Oliver, "It's not like buying a CD at the store, it might take a year or two..." As the family walked into the wood-paneled living room of the second property on their list, Oliver turned to his mom and said, "You are SO buying this place!"

Thus, the Dillons acquired Cama Home from the granddaughter of the man who built it in 1932, with a promise to honor the cabin's character and history — a promise we're pleased to have helped them keep.
