Now here's an old-house idea worth replicating. When their school district was at the height of a public-school funding crunch, Doug and Carol Landers asked themselves "What can we do?" Doug, a general contractor, and Carol, a real estate agent, dreamed up something bigger than a bake sale for their kids' school... they would buy and fix up an old house, offer it for sale, and donate the proceeds.

Enlisting the help of other parents and local businesses (including us), they did just that, purchasing, renovating, and then selling - at a handsome profit - a 1913 Craftsman bungalow in their neighborhood. Rejuvenation is proud to have supported this inspiring project.
