Richard Colombo is what's known among old house crazies as a "serial restorer" — someone constitutionally incapable of bypassing "For Sale By Owner" signs, construction site dumpsters, or the factory-seconds area in our Portland store.

Now on house No. 6 (this is house No. 5), he's burned through his share of paintbrushes. We couldn't help but ask him, since he's lived in and restored so many old homes, if any were haunted. "But, of course..." he says. We suspect the spirits are happy.
