Such adjustability is due to the innovations of Otis Converse White, a dentist-cum-inventor who began experimenting with movable joints in the late 1800s. Not only did he succeed in making a new kind of lighting technology; he revolutionized the world of work by bringing the light to the worker.

The O.C. White industrial lamps we offer are the only ones available on the market today that are approved by the O.C. White Company. We partnered with the legendary manufacturer to reissue their designs – which means they craft every arm, joint, and knob in their Massachusetts factory to look and work exactly like the originals. We then assemble, wire, and finish these exclusive lamps in Portland.
