Egyptian Camel Saddle

Item #D8640

Description

Looking to get a little adventurous with your decorating? Consider bringing home an authentic camel saddle. Traditionally used by the Bedouin nomads of the Sinai desert, this piece is handcrafted by Egyptian artisans out of sarsoa wood, a type of rosewood grown in southern Egypt and northern Sudan. The tooled leather cushion makes it a comfortable stool or footrest (as you might expect from something orginally designed for trekking across deserts).

We think a home can never have too many spots to sit. That's why we gathered an array of stools and chairs made from cigar leather, reclaimed pine, and much more.
