Description

Part of an architectural pediment, the tympanum is a triangular segment that would have originally been surrounded by molding. Most likely, it would have decorated the top of a door or a gabled roofline. This marvelous cedar specimen, handcarved around 1880, consists of two support boards, overlaid with a swooping appliqu├ęd acanthus garland.
