Munyon's Homeopathic Remedies Sign C1890s Item # F0148
An infamous snake-oil salesman, James M. Munyon's promising career as a "homoeopathic" [sic] medical professional was marred by scandal, despite his promise of "positive cures" for any ailment. This fantastic relic, which features brightly colored font and a pattern of Victorian style fretwork around the edge, would have hung in the window of any of the general stores that sold his wares, as many did from Philadelphia to Florida at the turn of the century.
Condition notes: Scratches, wear and rust on the sign only demonstrate the age and history of the piece. One side is a bit more worn (see third photo).
