Neo-Classical Pine Pediment C1820s Item # F1480
Salvaged from a stately entryway, this pine pediment would have graced the door of a Neo-Classical style home on the east coast in the early 19th century. Classically inspired elements abound, including the dentilated trim and the swan's neck keyhole, which would have once highlighted a plaster bust or vase. Today, this fantastic piece of architectural handiwork would be a welcome addition to any wall, whether as a door header or a bedstead.
Condition notes: The raw wood shows some scratching and wear, commensurate with age. Two dentils are missing and there is some water damage to the base of the pediment.
