Red, White & Blue Double-Sided Neon Star Sign c1940 Item # F1813
40" W x 38" H
This incredible neon star sign has it all: a unique shape, a fantastically worn galvanized metal canister, and three layers of multi-colored tubing (red, white and blue, of course). Found in the fields of Texas (the Lone Star State), this sign is all original but for the tubes - finish and construction are all in place, but we've restored the neon to full glory so that it will glow for many more years to come. We estimate it dates from the late 1930s or early 1940s. Two steel arms emerge from the side of the star, so that it can be mounted to a wall, projecting out to be enjoyed from either side. Comes with a newly installed transformer and an 8' black nylon cord.
This piece ships by Truck delivery. Upon placing your order you will be contacted by a customer service associate to discuss delivery time and details as they pertain to this one of a kind item.
- Historical Style: Industrial
- Condition notes: The can is well-worn, with plenty of rust and its fair share of holes – we call it character. We did patch up the sign to give it some structural support, using some salvaged sheet metal to match. The neon tubing is all new, along with a new transformer and 8' long nylon cord. Requires only a standard 110 volt socket.
