Description

We love all of the hand-made elements of this galvanized metal tool box. The "rivets" are made from nail heads and the handle is forge-bent steel, but the hinges and hasps are solid brass and likely salvaged from a late-19th century oak machinist's chest. A wonderful piece of folk art, and useful, too!

Condition notes: The scratches and nicks in the metal are commensurate with age and only add to the character of the piece. A few small holes can be seen on the corners of the box (refer to photos).
