Neon Liquor Sign w/ Porcelain Faceplate c1930s Item # F9564
Once in a blue moon we come across a neon sign with porcelain enamel face plates and we get very excited. This holy grail of vintage signs proudly advertises Liquor for the no-nonsense blue-collar joe, instantly evoking visions of a bustling mid-century deli or corner store. This sign features the original red and white porcelain faceplate, but we reconstructed the galvanized steel canister and replaced the neon tubing, as well as added a modern transformer. That way, this beautiful sign will glow for many more years to come. We estimate that this sign dates from the late 1930's or early 1940's.
