Description
With its gracefully bowed neck and turnkey operation, this fixture is also the only wall bracket we build with a small 4" version of the "beehive" canopy. A clamp-on shade holder on the socket gives it a nice contrast of stripped-down industrial styling.
Many folks associate Victorian design with all the elaborate ornamentation appropriate to a period termed "The Gilded Age." But some of its most striking fixtures were simple, straightforward designs that straddled the line between the bare-bones practicality of early lighting and the decorative and deliberate styling associated with the time.
Notes
- Solid brass parts
- 12 hand-applied finishes
- Compatible with 2-1/4” shades
Tips:
These fixtures were once common in spaces with no wall switch, and a turnkey socket was a necessity. If you're blessed with a wall switch, leave the turnkey in the “on” position and you can just control your light at the wall.
If the 4” canopy won't play nicely with your junction box, we include a finished 5” plate (not shown) to expand the canopy's wall coverage.
