The quintessential Colonial era design, our comb-back Windsor chair is crafted in West Virginia of sustainably harvested Appalachian maple. It is thought that 16th-century wheelrights introduced the practice of turning chair spindles on a lathe, as they turned spokes for wheels. Because the spindles and legs are round-tenoned, or fit into drilled holes, Windsor chairs allow for more delicacy of line than a standard chair where the back legs and uprights are carved from a single piece.

This chair ships with White Glove delivery. We’ll bring it into your home, set it up, and remove all packaging. Delivery surcharges apply.
