Description
The Manning attests to 1930s appreciation for streamlined, elegant design - a "movement" of sorts that gained momentum and continued well into the 1940s.
Downward light filters softly (i.e., not much) through the frosted glass panel of its shade. Most of the usable light from this fixture is indirect, washing against ceiling and walls and filling your room with light.
Notes
Aerodynamic lines, fluted bodies, louvers and rings... Streamline design is so sleek and clean and fast, it's no wonder it was followed by Space Age design. These pieces are all on the verge of liftoff.
