The Paisley is a historically accurate reproduction of one of the earliest electric fixtures ever made. This wall bracket was originally manufactured in the 1880s by Sigmund Bergmann, a close collaborator of Thomas Edison's and the man who patented the electric socket. We owe him a debt of gratitude – not just for the technology, but also for the charm of his design.

The design of the Plum and Paisley represents a major leap forward in the lighting world: down-facing lights like these were not possible in the age of gas lamps.

  • Solid brass parts
  • Decorative scrollwork on arm
  • Compatible with 3-1/4" fitter shades
  • 9 hand-applied finishes

For a matching pendant, see the Plum.

While we included a functional, authentic turnkey socket, you can also control the light with a wall switch.
