The Plum is based on one of the first electric fixtures ever made. Originally manufactured in the 1880s by Sigmund Bergmann, who patented the electric socket and collaborated with Thomas Edison, the Plum was a buzz-worthy innovation in its time. In our time, it's still a conversation piece – and an attractive and useful one at that.

The design of the Plum and Paisley represents a major leap forward in the lighting world: down-facing lights like these were not possible in the age of gas lamps.

  • Solid brass parts
  • Decorative ball on rod
  • Compatible with 3-1/4" fitter shades
  • * While we included a functional, authentic turnkey socket, you can also control the light with a wall switch * For a matching wall bracket, see the Paisley
