Richly detailed and sporting distinctive urn finials, this pair of 4-1/2" bronze hinges are in the popular "Columbian" pattern by Reading Hardware Co. and date to the 1890s. This pattern is much-loved by hardware admirers for the superbly executed foliage and beastie faces in the Romanesque-inspired design. 4-1/2" hinges were commonly used on larger 1-3/4" thick exterior doors.
