Black Enamel Elongated Revival-Style Porch Light, c1930

Description

Typical of the hybridized porch lights of the 1920s and 1930s, this example mixes Arts & Crafts, Colonial Revival, and Romance Revival themes into a style that can live comfortably on many different types of homes, from bungalows to cottages. The elongated proportion of this fixture makes it more unique and vertical looking and the lovely amber glass has a surprise green tone when not lit (see second photo).

Finish: New Black Enamel.

Note that the narrow 4" backplate may not cover all junction boxes and that Opening to the lantern measures 3-1/4".
