Striking Dual-Tone “Ferndale” 5-Light Semi-Flush, c1935

Description

One of the more stylish and visually impressive Art Deco offerings in the Sears Lightmaster line, the Ferndale family was distinguished by solid aluminum castings with elaborate modernistic ornamentation and a silver/gold dual finish treatment. Based on certain identifiable components, we believe this line was made for Sears by Lincoln Manufacturing of Detroit, Michigan. Not yet offered in the Sears' 1934 Hi-Glo line, the Ferndale series had dropped out of the Sears Lightmaster catalog by 1937.

Finish: Replicated original two-toned hand-antiqued gilt.
