Description

This would be a great fixture for a c1898-1905 house because it shares the same eclectic and transitional mix of stylistic elements as the architecture of its day. From the Colonial Revival-inspired segmented (or gadrooned) half-balls to the Empire-style cast filigree ball break to the late-Victorian decorative scrolling armbacks, this fixture combines many of the ornamental themes of the decade before in a more simple form.

We've fitted this chandelier with a gorgeous set of four gently ruffled shades in Pearl Opalescent glass, which perfectly set off the carbon-filament bulbs that would have been original to the fixture, and for which these shades were intended.
