Description

The type of beautifully ornamental fixture that so many of us picture when we think of Victorian lighting, this example from around the turn-of-the-century nicely balances the Empire impulse to be fancy with the restraint being learned from the Colonial Revival. The intricately cast filigree armbacks and medallion break combine with corrugated balls, elegant bent-brass tubing, the richly mellow brass finish and softly etched shades to create a stunning style statement.
