Large Eastlake Gasolier w/Crystal Drops, 1880s Item # R0960
A very nice early fixture that mixes the popular crystal look with Eastlake styling at the time it was transitioning to the Aesthetic Movement, this would be ideal over a dining room table in an 1880s home (or any other setting where its unique charms would be appreciated). Intricate castings and filigree embossed tubing are complemented by antique etched and hand-cut 5" fishbowl gas shades.
Note: These rare older fixtures often come with questions, missing parts, and other challenges that make a fully authentic restoration difficult at best. In full disclosure, here are some notes on our work on this fixture... The canopy and shade holders are old replacements. The crystal drops are all old replacements, though not necessarily in the style that the original fixture would have had. The center ones are larger (5") than the satellites (3-1/2"). Due to construction issues, we have run the wire on the exterior, using nylon coated wire to help minimize the distraction.
Historical Style: Victorian: Eastlake
