Description

This would be a great fixture for a c1898-1905 house because it shares the same eclectic and transitional mix of stylistic elements as the architecture of its day. From the Colonial Revival-inspired segmented (or gadrooned) half-balls to the Empire-style cast scrolling armbacks to the Classical acanthus leaf motif on the center body, this fixture creatively combines many of the ornamental themes of the day.

We've fitted this chandelier with a gorgeous set of four softly etched Empire shades with exceptional finely scalloped edges, which complement the carbon-filament bulbs that would have been original to the fixture (and for which these kinds of shades were intended).
