During the Aesthetic Movement era when hardware designs were often over the top with pattern and detail, Russell & Erwin’s “Damascene” pattern was a popular alternative. Sophisticated and subtle with its very finely engraved texture of tiny swirls and flowers, “Damascene” was a knock out used on many of the finer homes of the period. Generous ball tips with three incised rings are a final touch of class on this four-knuckle hinge – details that differentiate this set from R1130.
