Pair of Cast Iron Double Acorn Hooks, c1865

Item #R1380

Description

Perhaps the most common and popular cast iron hook from the Victorian era well into the 20th century, this classic double coat hook design with its acorn-shaped tips can still be found in countless old classrooms, churches, storefronts, cloak rooms, and homes across the country.

While these actual examples probably date to the turn of the century, Russell & Erwin were manufacturing this design as early as 1865, so who knows how old these particular ones are.
