Another classic shaded light design that we have documented in distributor catalogues but don't know the manufacturer of is this one, from a series marketed as the Hampton line in 1935 by Glasco Electric Company. Featuring a carefully balanced mix of Art Deco and almost Classical or Colonial Revival styling, its more traditional, middle-of-the-road look made it less "extreme" and more broadly appealing, as it remains today.

"Shaded lights" were the hot trend from about 1930 through 1935, before Streamline style and cup-shade fixtures moved center stage. Inspired by French examples and featuring individual glass slip or slipper shades at each light bulb that were typically unique to specific body designs, these fixtures generally offer direct illumination of the ceiling above while casting a warm and intimate light on the area below - often a living room or a dining room table. These fixtures were usually designed in named families or series, with a range of different lengths, lights, colors and applications available.

Note: Two of the shads have pretty sizable surface chips on the interior, although they are not visible nor do they affect the stability of the shades.
