Progress Mid-Century Flush “Loaf Pan” Porch Light, c1955 Item # R1448
A mid-century classic introduced by Progress Manufacturing of Philadelphia in 1953, this porch fixture with its minimal metal backplate and alternating clear and frosted glass ribs possesses a simple and adaptable modern style that helps it fit comfortably on a wide range of ranch houses and ramblers (and also kept it in Progress catalogs well into the 1970s). As you also may have noticed, this fixture was also the basis for our own Otis – our very first Mid-Century Modern porch light reproduction. It can be used as a wall fixture or as a ceiling fixture.
Finish: Antique steel.
Note: There is a small chip at the base of the shade.
