The boldly naive (and almost Gothic Eastlake styling on this nice early store door entry set by P.& F. Corbin indicate that its design predates the Anglo-Japanese and Aesthetic Movement influences that followed the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. Remarkably, this set includes its original flat-steel keys, and retains traces of its bronze flash plating over the cast iron in some places.
