Rejuvenation

Brass & Smoky Glass Chandelier by Fredrick Ramond, c1975

Item #R1744

Description

The distinctively angular or faceted chandelier designs of Fredrick Ramond during the 1970s - like this fine example (which happens to be even further enhanced by the awesome brass finish and smoky glass panels) - have found a newly appreciative fan base among early adopters in the resurging arena of late contemporary design. Close your eyes and you can almost see the thick eyeshadow, smell the fondue pot, and feel the double-knit polyester between your fingers...

In addition to the subtle but effective down-light in the center body of the fixture, the mirrored surfaces of the chandelier reflect loads of light - smoky glass, yes, but dimly lit interior, no.
