Moe-Bridges 30 K-5 Wrought Iron Strap Chandelier, c1925 Item # R1747
There were thousands of light fixtures designed in the 1920s, but no very many actually had their designs patented - this one did. US Design Patent No. 66757, filed November 12, 1924, documents the original concept for this fixture by Alexander K. Sutherland ("a subject of the King of England"), who assigned it to the Moe-Bridges Company of Milwaukee. Our 1927 Moe-Bridges catalogs shows the form it had taken by that date. Our version seems to have shed a part or two along the way , but is still quite complete.
