Late Streamline Kitchen Globe w/Simple Base, c1940 Item # R1955
Kitchen shades from the early mid-century era, with their mix of clear molded glass in odd shapes with painted white surfaces, can have a tendency to look a little cheap. But this particular shade has always been one of our favorites, with nice proportions, subtle Streamline banding, a well-designed clear concentric lens, and the charming underdome to allow room for larger bulbs. With its simple black enamel base, this light is a classic kitchen (or bathroom) fixture for cottages, Capes, and ranch homes of the 1938-1955 period.
- Notes: Mounts with 3 wood screws
- Historical Style: Period Basics
