Heraldic Double candle sconce, c1920s

Check with customer service for available quantities. | Item #R1989

Description

Very popular during late-1920s and early 1930s, decorative cast-metal fixtures with candle sockets and rich polychrome finishes like this example were romantically decorative and right at home in the countless English, Colonial, Mediterranean, Norman, and other Historic Revival houses that dotted the automobile suburbs of the era. The crown motif and sword crest on this one invites us to imagine it on the wall between a pair of kingly chairs.
