Description

Get back to nature and go back in time with this darling antique pendant. The simple canopy and rod connect to a spool-shaped socket (a common design motif for Colonial Revival), which supports this fixture's crowning glory: the tinted, hand-painted shade. One side depicts a mother-and-daughter pair (one supposes) approaching a windmill, while the other side shows a stream winding past two coppiced trees (perhaps the view the two lasses see when they leave the mill?). The shade's amber tint casts a warm sunset glow over the two scenes—and whatever room you choose to gift with such a one-of-a-kind find.
