Crested Bare Bulb Pan Fixture, c1925

Item #R2241

Common in the 1920s, pan fixtures adorned rooms of all types – their hand-painted details were fancy enough for more formal, public areas of a home, while their shallow stature enabled them to fit in low-ceilinged, private spaces. With crests facing each of the four cardinal directions, rosette and rope details, and a center tassel, this antique packs a lot of special in a small package. It includes warm globe bulbs appropriate for the period.
