Streamline Sweetie, c1935 Item # R2316
Streamline style of the 1930s was an offshoot of Art Deco, characterized by clean lines and circular forms. This little gem is a fine representation of its age, with some sweet subtleties that are sure to win you over. On the shade, periwinkle pinstripes on the neck give way to ripples of stripes on the bottom. In between, pearlized opaque glass glows like moonlight. The brass fixture has a simple – and simply pleasing – goblet shape and its original patina, waxed for protection.
- Notes: There are 2 stress fractures in the canopy. They have been reinforced and although are visible when installed, they are not distracting.
- Historical Style: Modern: Streamline
