Description

Wrought iron strap-style fixtures with exposed globe bulbs like this one were one of the bread-and-butter fixture types of the mid-1920s. Often featuring stamped metal leaves and decorative floral accents finished in a gilt polychrome like this example, such fixtures were right at home in the countless English, French, and Mediterranean cottages that dotted the automobile suburbs of the era.
