Peach-tone Bead-Chain shade w/Gilt Base, c1940

Item #R2414

Description

Bead-chain shades (the glass typically hangs from three ball-tipped bead chains) were popular from around 1935 into the early 1950s. The most common sizes were small 1-light fixtures used in bedrooms and hallways, especially as replacements for older obsolete styles, The shades are usually heavy pressed designs with a mix of tinted or etched glass and clear decorative areas.
