Description

Sited variously as Georgian, Federal, and Empire, lighting fixtures with applied stars (and stars in general) were a hot trend of the mid-1930s. As Lightolier stated in 1934 about fixtures very similar to this one: "In style, in finish, in the embellished gold stars, these pieces might well have come from a telegraphic consensus of the country's leading decorators." This example might have been in an living room, dining room, or even a small bedroom.
