Two-Toned Empire Beam Light W/Exposed Bulb, C1935 Item # R2487
Sited variously as Georgian, Federal, and Empire, lighting fixtures with applied stars (and stars in general) were a hot trend of the mid-1930s. As Lightolier stated in 1934 about fixtures very similar to this one: "In style, in finish, in the embellished gold stars, these pieces might well have come from a telegraphic consensus of the country's leading decorators." This example is a popular "beam light" used in small rooms, hallways, and stairwells.
- Historical Style: Empire
- Notes: Some brass is visible through the original Nickel finish.
