Description

Defined by angular profiles, careful craft, and minimal ornamentation, Mission style was the antidote to Victorian excess. This antique pendant is a prime example, comprised simply of a squared-off pole and amber art-glass shade. The shade is marked Nuart, a label from Ohio's Imperial Glass Company, which introduced crackly "stretch" glass in 1916. This particular color was called "Amber Ice" for its lovely iridescent finish.
