Woodward Machine Co."Utilight" Task Lamp Pat. 1943 Item # R2798
Designed and patented by William H. Woodward, "Utilight" task and floor lamps were some of the finest and most reliable machinist's lights in the 1930's and '40's. This remarkable and well-maintained example features two of Woodward's patented elements: a double reinforced cast aluminum shade and an adjustable bracket, which allows the the light to bend and swivel in any direction. Mounted upon a hefty steel disc base, it will amply demonstrate functionally elegant American utility for years to come.
