Description

By the mid to late 19th century, electric lighting was becoming more common place and companies began emerging to capitalize on the need for commercial electric light fixtures. Klemm & Co., I.P. Frink and Wheeler Reflector Co. all emerged just before the turn of the century to develop iconic mirrored reflectors, which continue to command attention today. This pendant is exemplary of the lighting created by those companies in the 1890's. The interior of the shade has a faceted mirrored surface, which would have maximized the output of the still-developing bulb technology. A fantastic piece of early industrial-era lighting, perfect for a kitchen nook or work space today.
