Petite Colonial Revival 2-Light Pan Fixture, C1925

Item #R3125

Description

The 1920s saw the convergence of two popular trends – the Colonial Revival and the stamped pan light. Combined in countless ways, Colonial pan lights were ubiquitous in all types of houses – from bungalows to foursquares to Dutch Colonials – yet they always felt right at home with their clean lines, restrained detailing, and casually formal character.

One thing that made them great was how a simple choice of finish or shade could be the tweak that made a common Colonial Revival design come alive with a distinctive and personal look. This beautiful petite example has been refinished in a lovely Burnished Antique which showcases a pair of satin moulded shades which have been hand-painted to show off the details.
