Description

The 1920s saw the convergence of two popular trends – the Colonial Revival and the stamped pan light. Combined in countless ways, Colonial pan lights were ubiquitous in all types of houses – from bungalows to foursquares to Dutch Colonials – yet they always felt right at home with their clean lines, restrained detailing, and casually formal character.

One thing that made them great was how a simple choice of finish or shade could be the tweak that made a common Colonial Revival design come alive with a distinctive and personal look. This beautiful chandelier is a great example, with the original unlacquered brass finish and a set of cased satin amber shades molded to look like fabric shades of the era that create serious atmosphere and intimacy at any table.
