Ornate Empire Style 3-Light Pan Fixture c1920 Item # R4670
Exposed globe bulbs were widely popular lighting choices during the 1920s, so was a free mix of Revival-style motifs that sometimes teamed for a more impressive look. This fixture calls upon the late-Victorian Empire style, with filigreed bulb guards and a pierced canopy crown.
Pan lights like this one were great for all those bungalows and cottages built with lower ceilings (and budgets), and were most often found in a hallway, den or bedroom. This example really takes the acanthus leaf motif to a wonderful extreme.
- Historical Style: Romance Revival
