Based on the classic "trouble finder" light (as Sears called it in 1910), the Wiley returns as a pendant for your home. Repurposed from its original hand-held design—a necessity back in the days of unelectrified garages and barns—this industrial-flavored fixture hangs happily above counters and tables, especially when outfitted with a wire-guard shade and reproduction bulb.

The charm of industrial design is in its simplicity. Bare sockets and stripped-down parts act as functional ornamentation, resulting in a fixture both timeless and contemporary, appropriate for any space in any home.

Tips:

These fixtures were once common in spaces with no wall switch, and a turnkey socket was a necessity. If you're blessed with a wall switch, leave the turnkey in the "on" position and you can just control your light at the wall.

Reproduction light bulbs give off a soft glow, providing mood lighting rather than task lighting.
