Dennis ConnerVice President of Operations
Dennis joined Rejuvenation in November 2007. Although a recent addition to the team, Dennis is already initiating change and making contributions.
His rich and diverse manufacturing and operations background is grounded in numerous roles as well as direct hands-on experience. Fascinated by machinery at an early age, Dennis began working in aerospace machine shops at 15 and continued his career as a journeyman machinist and manufacturing engineer during his studies in management and mechanical engineering at Ventura Junior College and UCSB.
During the last 25 years he has managed the development, production and global supply chains of complex aerospace fabricated assemblies, high-performance bats at DeMarini Sports, and golf products at facilities in the US, Mexico, Asia and Russia. Dennis is particularly wistful about journeys he made to the former Soviet Union, since these business trips were imbued with an exotic sense of adventure. During a more memorable excursion, Dennis was sent to Siberia in January, where he visited a huge titanium plant used to make golf equipment. It was here, deep in the Russian forest, that Dennis was served vodka with breakfast and developed a fondness for steam baths. Many toasts and lifelong friends were made. It's fair to say that Dennis truly lives the motto "think globally, act locally."
His unique perspective on how products get made around the world comes into play daily. At Rejuvenation, Dennis manages a staff responsible for development, engineering, production, fulfillment, global supply chain, and retail support of over 4,000 products. His experience with implementing and facilitating self-directed teams to constantly improve processes and performance comes at a critical time in the company's growth trajectory.
When not on the job, Dennis likes to spend time at home with his wife of 27 years. He also hangs out with his three college-age sons, all who currently live at home, attend school and work. According to Dennis, this arrangement "sometimes makes the house feel like a dorm." However, we sense that suits him just fine, since we're convinced Dennis is young at heart - as evidenced by the marathons he runs every other year, and his enjoyment of surfing the web to "see what's out there." In particular he enjoys blogs, and is a big believer in the Internet's ability to generate excitement, and educate and engage customers about products.
